For personal data collected through this website and direct website enquiries, Harp Visual Communications Limited is the data controller.
What personal data we collect
The website contact form is currently not active. The contact page asks visitors to contact Harp Visual by email or telephone.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we may collect your name, work email address, telephone number, organisation, role, enquiry details and any information you choose to include in your message.
Our hosting provider may process technical information needed to serve the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, referring URL and time of request. We do not currently use marketing tracking, cross-site advertising tracking, automated profiling or behavioural advertising on this website.
Contract
Where an enquiry becomes a confirmed project, we may process personal data because it is necessary to take steps before entering into a contract or to perform a contract.
Consent
We would rely on consent for non-essential analytics or marketing cookies if introduced in future. The current site audit found no active analytics or marketing cookie scripts.
How long we keep personal data
General website enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months from the last meaningful contact, unless an active commercial relationship has started or we need to keep the information for legal, security or dispute-resolution reasons.
Client and project correspondence may be retained for the duration of the relationship and for up to 7 years afterwards where required for accounting, tax, contract management or regulatory purposes.
If analytics is introduced in future, the retention period should be stated here before it goes live.
Who we share personal data with
We only share personal data where necessary for the purposes described in this policy. This may include website hosting and infrastructure providers, email and IT service providers, professional advisers, and subcontractors working under contract where a project requires it.
The current website is hosted on Vercel. The contact page uses a static locally-hosted map image rather than an embedded third-party map. We do not sell personal data and do not share website enquiry data with advertising networks or data brokers.
International data transfers
Some technology providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent contractual safeguards.
